Job summary

Micron Semiconductor Asia Operations Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a PDE KEG engineer to identify, evaluate, and qualify new automated equipment and technologies for advanced packaging, with handover to production and EMI/TOR governance.

You will drive AI-enabled improvements, collaborate with suppliers, and lead capital planning for equipment upgrades across EMI, TOR, and factory automation systems.

Qualifications

• PhD/Masters/Bachelors in electrical, electronic, materials, mechanical engineering, physics or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge in semiconductor manufacturing assembly, wafer bumping, and advanced packaging.
• 0–2 years in related semiconductor industry or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with assembly/wafer bumping or advanced packaging is a plus.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Integrate AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and quality in daily work.
• Identify, test and share AI-enabled enhancements within scope of work.
• Define, develop and establish new equipment design/capability requirements.
• Plan and submit capital requests for new equipment purchases.
• Create and own purchasing specifications and TOR updates.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to drive tool maturity (EMI) and interface readiness.
