Job summary

Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a qualified engineer to lead sustainable construction materials development. You will conduct R&D on innovative concretes, work with recycled or alternative materials, and run lab, pilot, and production trials while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Materials/Chemical Engineering and 3–5 years in construction or lab settings, with training offered for less experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Material Science or Chemical Engineering.
• 3-5 years’ experience in construction industry or laboratory environment preferred.
• Experience in laboratory testing, concrete mix design, product development or construction materials advantageous.
• Candidate with less experience can expect proper training after joining.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development activities for sustainable construction materials and products.
• Develop and optimise concrete formulations incorporating sustainable, recycled or alternative materials.
• Plan, execute and monitor laboratory trials, pilot-scale trials and production trials.
• Ensure that product development and testing activities are carried out in accordance with applicable standards, specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse test results and recommend appropriate formulation, process or product improvements.
• Support the scale-up of successful laboratory developments to pilot and commercial production.
• Liaise and collaborate with government agencies, Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), research institutions and industry partners on research, product development, testing, validation and commercialisation activities.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders

• Working Days/Timings: 5.5 days Monday 9am - 6pm - Sat | 9am - 1pm
