Job summary

RECRUIT NOW SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an R&D engineer to conduct research and development for sustainable construction materials. You will develop concrete formulations incorporating recycled or alternative materials and plan trials from laboratory to pilot scale.

The role requires 3-5 years in construction or lab settings, with a focus on material testing, product development or construction materials. Travel to sites will be involved as part of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Material Science or Chemical Engineering
• 3-5 years’ experience in construction industry or laboratory environment is preferred
• Experience in laboratory testing, concrete mix design, product development or construction materials would be advantageous
• Candidate with less experience can expect a proper training after joining in

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development activities for sustainable construction materials and products.
• Develop and optimise concrete formulations incorporating sustainable, recycled or alternative materials.
• Plan, execute and monitor laboratory trials, pilot-scale trials and production trials.
• Ensure that product development and testing activities are carried out in accordance with applicable standards, specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse test results and recommend appropriate formulation, process or product improvements.
• Support the scale-up of successful laboratory developments to pilot and commercial production.
• Liaise and collaborate with government agencies, Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), research institutions and industry partners on research, product development, testing, validation and commercialisation activities.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders

• Up till $5000 basic + Bonus + AWS (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)

• Location: Jurong port (need to travel site)

• Working Days/Timings: 5.5 days Monday 9am - 6pm - Sat | 9am - 1pm

Responsibilities:
