Job summary

EnGro Corporation Ltd is seeking a Product Development Engineer to lead the research, development, testing and validation of sustainable construction materials and products in Singapore.

You will focus on concrete technology, plan and conduct laboratory and production trials, evaluate material performance, ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements, and support the transition from R&D to commercial implementation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development activities for sustainable construction materials and products.
• Develop and optimise concrete formulations incorporating sustainable, recycled or alternative materials.
• Plan, execute and monitor laboratory trials, pilot-scale trials and production trials.
• Ensure that product development and testing activities are carried out in accordance with applicable standards, specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse test results and recommend appropriate formulation, process or product improvements.
• Support the scale-up of successful laboratory developments to pilot and commercial production.
• Liaise and collaborate with government agencies, Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), research institutions and industry partners on research, product development, testing, validation and commercialisation activities.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.

The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for the research, development, testing and validation of sustainable construction materials and products.

The role requires a strong understanding of concrete technology and relevant industry standards and codes. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting laboratory and production trials, evaluating material performance, ensuring compliance with relevant specifications and regulatory requirements, and supporting the development of new products from the R&D stage through to commercial implementation.
