Job summary

TALENT TRADER GROUP PTE. LTD. is seeking a technically minded engineer to engage with customers, understand requirements, and coordinate semiconductor equipment projects.

You will translate needs into specifications, work with Vision, Software, Manufacturing and Engineering teams, and support installation and post-sales activities. Travel to customer sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2–6 years of relevant experience in semiconductor equipment, applications engineering, product engineering, equipment engineering, automation or technical engineering.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry or semiconductor equipment environment is highly preferred.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Good understanding of equipment/system integration and technical project coordination.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings, technical specifications and equipment documentation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Good project management and organisational skills.
• Willing to travel to customer sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements, applications and process needs.
• Conduct pre-sales technical discussions and provide appropriate product/equipment solutions.
• Act as the technical liaison between customers and internal Vision, Software, Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
• Translate customer requirements into clear technical specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate and manage customer projects from initial requirements through equipment delivery and implementation.
• Organise and lead regular internal project meetings to track project progress, technical issues and deliverables.
• Support equipment setup, installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve system and equipment issues.
• Support product optimisation and recommend improvements based on customer requirements and field feedback.
• Prepare technical documents, reports, presentations, specifications and project status updates.
• Develop and maintain equipment assembly, inspection and testing procedures where required.
• Support product planning and new equipment development activities.
• Provide technical support during customer evaluations, demonstrations and equipment acceptance.
• Conduct customer-site visits to support equipment installation, troubleshooting and technical discussions.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure projects are delivered according to customer requirements and agreed timelines.
• Gather customer feedback and communicate opportunities for product and system improvements to the relevant engineering teams.
• Support post-sales technical activities and maintain strong customer relationships.
