Job summary

DIRECT SEARCH ASIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a procurement professional in Singapore to manage end-to-end purchasing processes for workshop, technical service, logistics and operations.

You will source materials, evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate terms, and coordinate delivery while maintaining strong supplier relationships. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field, with fresh graduates welcome and 1–3 years’ procurement experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Maritime Studies or related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–3 years procurement/purchasing experience is advantageous.
• Experience in marine, offshore, engineering, manufacturing or technical services is beneficial but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ERP exposure (SAP Business One) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement from sourcing and quotation requests to PO issuance and delivery follow-up.
• Source materials, spare parts, equipment, and services for workshop, technical service, logistics, and operations.
• Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely procurement.
• Monitor POs and coordinate with suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, or commercial issues.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, onboarding, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with Sales, Technical Service, Workshop, Warehouse, and Finance to meet procurement needs.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies and approval processes.
• Maintain accurate procurement records in the ERP system.
• Support procurement reporting, inventory coordination, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement process from sourcing and quotation requests through to purchase order issuance and delivery follow-up.
• Source materials, spare parts, equipment, and services to support workshop, technical service, logistics, and operational requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate pricing where appropriate, and ensure timely procurement.
• Monitor purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, or commercial issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers while supporting vendor onboarding and performance monitoring.
• Work closely with Sales, Technical Service, Workshop, Warehouse, and Finance teams to ensure procurement requirements are met.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval processes, and procurement procedures.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation within the ERP system.
• Support procurement reporting, inventory coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with 1-3 years of procurement or purchasing experience will have an advantage.
• Experience in the marine, offshore, engineering, manufacturing, or technical services industry is beneficial but not required.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, supplier sourcing, and quotation management is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP Business One) is an advantage.
