Job summary

Seatrium Ltd in Singapore seeks a procurement professional to source and purchase marine and topside equipment, review requisitions and orders, and coordinate with project teams and vendors to meet specifications and budgets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; entry-level candidates will be considered with on-the-job

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Process/Marine Offshore/Logistics/ Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
• 5 years of relevant working experience; knowledge of topside equipment is an added advantage.
• Entry Level candidates are welcome; On Job Training will be provided.
• Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in managing contracts for equipment, especially topside, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyses and evaluates marine and topside equipment for purchase.
• Negotiates with supplier.
• Reviews purchase requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with project requirements and time schedule.
• Liaises with project team and external vendors to ensure equipment meets specifications and budget.
• Manages full spectrum of purchasing process (sourcing, quotation, negotiation, shipping and delivery).
• Issues and processes purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Expedites orders and follows up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Proposes recommendations for vendors and evaluates vendor performance.
• Coordinates all warehouse operations to ensure orderly handling of equipment/materials.
• Resolves discrepancies on delivered equipment and materials upon receiving.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Analyses and evaluates marine and topside equipment for purchase.
• Negotiates with supplier
• Reviews purchase requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with the project requirement and a time schedule
• Liaises with project team and external vendors to ensure that the equipment/parts and materials are met within project's specification and budget
• Manages full spectrum of purchasing process (sourcing, quotation, negotiation, shipping and delivery, etc)
• Issues and processes of purchase order in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Expedites order, monitor and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
• Proposes recommendation for vendors and evaluates vendor's performances
• Coordinates all warehouse operation matters to ensure all are in good order
• Resolves any discrepancy found on delivered equipment and material upon receiving
• Ensures proper gathering and distribution of all records, forms and reports pertaining to the receiving, storage, movement and control of equipment/ materials
• Supervises and manage warehouse personnel to ensure that the completions of tasks are in accordance to plans and schedules

Qualifications

• Preferably Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Process/Marine Offshore/Logistics/ Supply Chain Management or related discipline
• 5 years of relevant working experience. Knowledge of topside equipment will be an added advantage
