RecruitPedia Pte Ltd is seeking a Procurement Engineer for their client in the East of Singapore. The role focuses on sourcing mechanical sheet metal components, driving cost reductions, and building a strong supplier network to support design reviews and NPI changes.

With a minimum of 5 years in sourcing machines parts or sheet metal, you will collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to optimize lead times, terms, and supplier performance, while mitigating supply risks during

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Min 5 years of sourcing experience in machines parts or sheet metal.
• Experience in cost reduction, supplier management and negotiations.

Responsabilidades

• Manage sourcing of mechanical sheet metal components
• Drive cost reduction through negotiations, alternative sourcing, localization, and supplier consolidation
• Build and manage a strong supplier network, including key strategic partners
• Identify design and value engineering opportunities for cost savings
• Improve lead times, payment/delivery terms, and order quantities (MOQ/SPQ)
• Ensure suppliers meet quality, cost, delivery, and capacity requirements
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams on sourcing activities
• Monitor market trends and mitigate risks (e.g. EOL, single-source parts)
• Support cost evaluation during NPI and engineering changes (ECN)
• Work with engineering on design reviews and technical issue resolution
• Support sourcing and supply readiness during build and initial production phases

Our client is one of the leading players in the Contract Manufacturing sector. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Procurement Engineer to be part of their Procurement team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the East.

• Manage sourcing of mechanical sheet metal components
