RECRUITPEDIA PTE. LTD. is recruiting a Buyer for our client in the East of Singapore to support procurement transformation projects. The role focuses on sourcing mechanical sheet metal components, negotiating costs, and building a robust supplier network.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to optimize sourcing, lead times, and payment terms while mitigating supply risks in a dynamic contract manufacturing environment.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years sourcing experience in machines parts or sheet metal.

Aufgaben

• Manage sourcing of mechanical sheet metal components
• Drive cost reduction through negotiations, alternative sourcing, localization, and supplier consolidation
• Build and manage a strong supplier network, including key strategic partners
• Identify design and value engineering opportunities for cost savings
• Improve lead times, payment/delivery terms, and order quantities (MOQ/SPQ)
• Ensure suppliers meet quality, cost, delivery, and capacity requirements
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams on sourcing activities
• Monitor market trends and mitigate risks (e.g. EOL, single-source parts)
• Support cost evaluation during NPI and engineering changes (ECN)
• Work with engineering on design reviews and technical issue resolution
• Support sourcing and supply readiness during build and initial production phases
