Job summary

Transportation Industry is seeking a Procurement Specialist to lead procurement strategies for assigned product categories, aligning local, regional, and global objectives with the business.

You will manage direct and indirect procurement, negotiate supplier contracts, and drive cost reduction initiatives. The 6-month contract is convertible, with company transport provided to sites in Bukit Batok, Commonwealth, Buona Vista, Clementi, and nearby areas.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience.
• Experience in valves, compressors, or mechanical parts.
• Direct and indirect procurement management experience.
• Supplier negotiations and spend/cost reduction experience.

6 Months Contract - Convertible

Company Transport Provided: Bukit Batok | Commonwealth | Buona Vista | Clementi | Bukit Panjang | Jurong West | Boon Lay | Woodlands | Yishun | Choa Chu Kang

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned product categories in alignment with local, regional, and global procurement objectives.
• Manage both direct and indirect procurement categories, including raw materials, components, equipment, and other business-related purchases.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure consistent supply, product quality, cost competitiveness, and timely delivery.
• Conduct supplier audits, performance reviews, and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and procurement policies.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, volume discounts, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.
• Conduct spend analysis, cost analysis, and costing reviews to identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Develop and implement annual cost reduction targets and initiatives for the procurement function.
• Negotiate competitive pricing for raw materials, components, and other procurement categories to improve overall cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related discipline.
• 5 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supplier management in valves, compressors, mechanical parts or components
• Experience in managing direct and indirect procurement categories, supplier negotiations, spend analysis, and cost reduction initiatives.
