Job summary

RecruitPedia Pte Ltd is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to support our client in the transportation industry. The role focuses on developing procurement strategies for both direct and indirect categories, including valves and mechanical parts, to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.

Based in the WestSingapore area, the position is a 6-month contract with conversion potential. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM, with company transport provided for listed local areas.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related discipline.
• 5 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supplier management in valves, compressors, mechanical parts or components.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned product categories in alignment with local, regional, and global procurement objectives.
• Manage both direct and indirect procurement categories, including raw materials, components, equipment, and other business-related purchases.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure consistent supply, product quality, cost competitiveness, and timely delivery.
• Conduct supplier audits, performance reviews, and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and procurement policies.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, volume discounts, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.
• Conduct spend analysis, cost analysis, and costing reviews to identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Develop and implement annual cost reduction targets and initiatives for the procurement function.
• Negotiate competitive pricing for raw materials, components, and other procurement categories to improve overall cost efficiency.
