Job summary

Lingjack Deck Machinery Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based leader in offshore and marine deck machinery, seeks a Procurement Engineer to source, negotiate, and manage suppliers globally. The role collaborates with engineering, production and QA teams to ensure timely delivery and quality while identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Marine/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience in marine/offshore/heavy machinery preferred.
• Understanding of engineering drawings, hydraulic systems is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Business Central.
• Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for mechanical components and services.
• Prepare purchase orders, RFQs, and specs with engineering and project teams.
• Review drawings to ensure items meet design and quality requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times, pricing, and quality.
• Coordinate with local and overseas vendors on costs and delivery terms.
• Maintain procurement records, cost trackers, and vendor databases.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and QA/QC to resolve issues.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing.

Lingjack Deck Machinery Pte Ltd is a leading manufacturer of offshore and marine deck machinery and hydraulic systems, serving customers across the marine, offshore, and maritime industries. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Engineer to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for mechanical components, hydraulic parts, raw materials, and fabrication services
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, RFQs, and technical specifications in coordination with engineering and project teams
• Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure procured items meet design and quality requirements
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times, pricing, and quality to ensure on-time project delivery
• Liaise with vendors both locally and overseas to manage costs, delivery schedules, and contractual terms
• Maintain accurate procurement records, cost trackers, and vendor databases
• Work closely with engineering, production, and QA/QC teams to resolve technical or supply issues
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options without compromising quality

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Marine/Industrial Engineering or related field
• Prior experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within the marine, offshore, or heavy machinery industry preferred
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components is an advantage
• Good negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Business Central ERP Systems
• Meticulous, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
