Seatrium (SG) Pte. Ltd. is looking for a piping engineer to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements. The role involves reviewing P&IDs, preparing technical specifications, and conducting Technical Bid Evaluations.
Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in piping engineering, preferably in offshore/shipyard projects. Familiarity with FPSO projects is a plus.
The role involves ensuring compliance with contract specifications, including marine class, regulatory requirements, piping, special items, and valve material specifications. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing P&IDs and piping routines for accuracy and compliance; preparing comprehensive technical specifications and Material Take‑Off (MTO) reports; evaluating technical proposals from vendors and providing thorough feedback; conducting Technical Bid Evaluations to support procurement decisions; monitoring the procurement process to ensure timely delivery in line with project schedules; tracking piping material usage, surplus inventory, and warehouse balances; reviewing vendor certified documentation (VCD) for accuracy and compliance; collaborating effectively with vendors, discipline leads, procurement teams, production, and commissioning departments to ensure smooth project execution; participating in Factory Acceptance Tests as required, ensuring all technical and quality requirements are met; and proactively managing piping procurement activities with minimal supervision, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
