Job summary

ONE SEARCH CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is partnering with a Contract Manufacturing client to fill a senior Sourcing professional role in Singapore.

You will manage component sourcing for Mechanical Sheet Metal, drive cost reduction, and build strategic supplier networks to ensure quality, delivery, and capacity. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Product teams to execute procurement and sourcing activities, negotiate terms, and implement risk mitigation across NPI/ECN phases and EOL

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Possess good experience in handling Metal Fabrications, Plastics Tool & Die.
• Min 5-7 years of relevant work experience in Sourcing field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, good team player.
• Able to start work within short notice period will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage component sourcing on Mechanical Sheet Metal commodities
• Overall ownership to drive cost reduction and value creation initiatives through negotiations, alternate sourcing, localizations, VAVE, supplier consolidations
• Establish wide supplier network to facilitate both Sourcing and Procurement activities, leading strategic relationships with critical suppliers
• Identify redesign cost reduction opportunities
• Drive component lead time improvement, payment terms, delivery terms, MOQ/SPQ reduction and optimizations
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to meet quality, cost, delivery and capacity requirements
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations and Product teams to plan and drive execution of all Procurement & Sourcing activities
• Monitor global market trends and implement proactive risk mitigation and contingency strategies on EOL and single-source parts
• Provide part and tool cost assessment during NPI and ECN phases
• Interface with Engineering on design review/ECN/part changes and provide resolutions on all technical issues
• AOS management during build phase and initial production phase
