Job summary

Adecco is partnering with a global semiconductor equipment manufacturer to hire a Procurement Engineer in Singapore (West) to support R&D and NPI activities. You will manage RFQ processes, review engineering drawings and BOMs, and source machining and fabrication components.

You will collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams, negotiate with suppliers, and drive supplier development and corrective actions to ensure cost, quality and on-time delivery for complex projects.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs and specifications for RFQ and sourcing.
• Collaborate with R&D and Engineering to clarify requirements and manufacturability.
• Source suppliers, issue RFQs, evaluate quotations and negotiate terms.
• Manage procurement for NPI, CIP and customer projects from sourcing to delivery.
• Coordinate technical clarifications between suppliers and internal teams.
• Support supplier qualification, performance monitoring and corrective actions.
• Identify alternative materials and manufacturing solutions to reduce cost and lead time.

Adecco is partnering with a global semiconductor equipment manufacturer to hire a Procurement Engineer supporting R&D and NPI activities. The role covers technical sourcing, engineering drawing review, RFQ management, supplier development, and procurement of machining and fabricated components.

• Work location: West
• Work hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm
• Salary: up to $7,000 + AWS + VB

The Job:

• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and BOMs to support RFQ, sourcing and purchasing activities
• Work closely with R&D and Engineering teams to clarify technical requirements, drawing details and manufacturability concerns
• Source suitable suppliers, issue RFQs, evaluate quotations and negotiate cost, quality, lead time and commercial terms
• Manage procurement activities for NPI, CIP and customer-specific projects from sourcing through material delivery
• Coordinate technical clarifications between suppliers, Engineering, Quality and other internal stakeholders
• Support supplier qualification, technical evaluation, performance monitoring and corrective action activities
• Identify alternative suppliers, materials and manufacturing solutions to improve cost, lead time and supply continuity

The Talent:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Precision Engineering or related technical discipline
• At least 5 years of procurement, sourcing or supplier management experience within a manufacturing environment
• Able to independently read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications for RFQ and supplier discussions
• Good understanding of machining, sheet metal, fabrication or other mechanical manufacturing processes
• Strong RFQ analysis, negotiation and supplier management skills, with experience supporting NPI or project-based procurement
