Job summary

Schneider Electric Singapore is seeking a Procurement Data Analytics Intern to gain hands-on experience developing a pricing tool, analyzing business trends, and delivering digital solutions. Based in Kallang, you will join a global team and contribute to data-driven sourcing initiatives.

You will work with the Digitalization SPOC and Procurement teams to design dashboards, perform data cleaning, and support negotiations.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong IT and data analytics skills with proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and programming languages such as VBA, Python, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of database sets including SQL, MS Dataverse, and VLDB.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, and their tools.
  • Passionate about dataset cleanup, analytics, and building solutions using technical skills.
  • Ability to develop parallel projects, explore AI to improve user experience and processes, and communicate with global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare data input from various manufacturers into a database.
  • Gather and integrate market intelligence from platforms such as Octopart and SiliconExpert.
  • Maintain database tags for multiple comparison scenarios.
  • Analyze spend per supplier and per manufacturer, identify trends.
  • Support the development and enhancement of a learning database to automate data processing and analysis.
  • Assist in cleaning up data and preparing databases for negotiations.
  • Coordinate weekly project activities with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Location: Kallang, Singapore

Kick-start your career with an internship that offers real ownership and meaningful learning. Gain hands-on experience in developing a pricing tool that identifies opportunities across categories and manufacturers, while analyzing business trends and insights. Collaborate with Schneider Digital to design intuitive, persona-based dashboards and management views, and work closely with the Digitalization SPOC to drive project execution, shape the product vision, and deliver impactful digital solutions.

What will you do:
DataAnalysis (SQL,MicrosoftExcel, PowerApps):
  • Prepare data input from various manufacturers, intoDatabase
  • Gather and integrate market intelligence from platforms such as Octopart and SiliconExpert

  • Maintain database“tags” for multiple comparison scenarios
  • Analysis of spend per supplier, per manufacturer, trend identification
  • Support the development and enhancement of a learning database to automate and improve data processing and analysis.
Annual/QuarterlyNegotiation:
  • Assist incleaning up Dataand preparing database for negotiationsupport
  • ManagePriceImplementation Tracker to ensure that the annual price is implemented on time.
Adhoc Project Management:
  • Coordinate weekly crisis management activities with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Drive assigned project to meet the timeline and objectives
What qualifications will make you successful:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Computing, Mathematics, Physics or Business
  • Strong IT and data analytics skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and/or programming languages such as VBA, Python, and SQL
  • Knowledge of database sets including SQL, MS Dataverse, and VLDB
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, and their tools
