Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge in polymer synthesis.

• Experience with analytical equipment GC, HPLC, GPC, DSC.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to work in Jurong Island (company transport provided).

Responsibilities

• Support Quality Manager and Lab Chemist with troubleshooting for plant.
• Assist with laboratory experiments for new raw material evaluations.
• Conduct experiments for process development projects.
• Responsible for scheduled maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Develop, implement and maintain laboratory procedures and test methods.
• Participate in plant ESHQ activities.
• Evaluate design and selection of lab equipment meeting specs.
• Maintain inventories of key lab supplies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Quality Manager and Lab Chemist by providing troubleshooting support to the plant as required.
• Assist with the execution of laboratory experiments for new raw material evaluations
• Conducting laboratory experiments for process development projects as required.
• Responsible for scheduled maintenance and calibration of laboratory process and testing equipment.
• Develop, implement and maintain laboratory procedures and test methods.
• Participatingin plant ESHQactivities.
• Evaluate the design and selection of laboratory equipment that meets the requiredtechnical specifications.
• Maintaining inventories of key lab supplies (including consumables, glassware, etc.)
• Support the QualityManager and Lab Chemist with the introductionof new and applicable technologiesto the laboratory.
• Workin collaboration with other departments and cross disciplines to resolve problem.
• Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
• Collect information to gain a better understanding of routine procedural queries.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or any related science discipline
• At least 2 years of laboratory experience needed but fresh graduate with relevant experience will be considered
• Knowledge in Polymer synthesis
• Knowledge of lubricant testing is beneficial
• Experience in the use of analytical equipment like GC, HPLC, GPC, DSC desired
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Technical Knowledge (E.g. specialized knowledge required to perform all the required tasks)
• Willing to work in Jurong Island (company transport provided)
