Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) in Singapore's Tuas plant is seeking an experienced EHS engineer to lead process safety and environmental compliance for high-hazard operations. You will act as SME for process safety, support changes, new equipment, and capital projects, ensuring readiness and regulatory alignment.

Your role requires hands-on facilitation of PHA/HAZOP/LOPA, MOC, PSSR, PSI, and comprehensive field verification of safeguards while coaching cross-functional teams on safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a technical discipline (Chemical/Environmental/Mechanical/Safety).
• 3–5 years in EHS, process safety, or high-hazard manufacturing.
• Hands-on with PHA/HAZOP/What-if/LOPA, MOC, PSSR, PSI and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain site PSM, RMP, and environmental compliance programmes for high-hazard operations.
• Act as site SME for process safety and environmental engineering; support changes and capital projects.
• Facilitate PHA, HAZOP, What-if, LOPA and ensure closure of recommendations.
• Own/Support MOC, PSSR, PSI, operating procedure reviews, and safety data interfaces.
• Review P&IDs, PFDs, reliefs, interlocks, ventilation, and hazardous area controls.
