Job summary

Becton Dickinson (BD) is seeking an EHS professional to lead safety and environmental programs at our Singapore Tuas Plant. You will implement regulatory requirements, conduct risk assessments, and lead incident investigations to ensure a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with multiple functions to sustain ISO and BD Excellence practices, drive continuous improvement, and engage site leadership in EHS initiatives across operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering, environmental science, or occupational safety and health.
• 3–5 years in EHS, manufacturing or related tech environments; medical device or high-volume manufacturing preferred.
• Registered with MOM as a WSHO; FSM certification is expected.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and internal audits preferred.
• Knowledge of security management, access control and contractor safety is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support site leadership in implementing EHS plans, compliance activities, training, inspections and audits.
• Partner with operations to identify hazards, assess risks and implement controls.
• Establish and sustain standard work for EHS processes for audits and improvement.
• Lead or support risk assessments, JHAs, ergonomic reviews and machine safety checks.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor EHS performance indicators and communicate trends to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with MOM WSH, SCDF fire safety, and environmental requirements.
• Manage environmental programs: waste, chemicals, air/wastewater, ISO sustainment.
• Deliver EHS training, toolbox talks and competency reinforcement.
