Job summary

TECHSTEEL FABRATION PTE LTD is seeking a skilled sheet metal fabrication professional to lead process planning and quality initiatives, ensuring efficient production and compliance with industry standards. You will review drawings, prepare engineering documents, and collaborate with welders to implement optimized fabrication processes using TIG and MIG welding.

Minimum three years of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication - welding is required; strong GD&T knowledge and ECN drawing

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication - welding.
• Knowledge of GD&T and welding symbols to interpret fabrication needs.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to select optimal fabrication process sequences.
• Prepare, review, and maintain engineering documents (OMS, SOP, WI, WPS, PQR, WPQ).
• Collaborate with welders to implement fabrication processes and verify requirements.
• Apply GD&T and welding symbols to interpret fabrication needs.
• Utilize TIG and MIG welding knowledge to ensure weld quality per AWS, ASME, ISO.
• Analyze failures to identify root causes and drive improvements.
• Manage drawing documentation and control via ECN to maintain versions.
• Design and fabricate jigs and fixtures to support manufacturing operations.

You will apply your expertise in sheet metal fabrication to lead process planning and quality control initiatives that drive efficient production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize fabrication workflows and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings to determine and select optimal fabrication process sequences
• Prepare, review, and maintain engineering documents, including OMS, SOP, WI, WPS, PQR, and WPQ.
• Collaborate with welders to implement and refine fabrication processes.Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and welding symbols to interpret and verify fabrication requirements
• Utilize expertise in TIG and MIG welding techniques adhering to AWS, ASME, and ISO welding standards to ensure quality welds
• Analyze failures to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement
• Manage drawing documentation and control through Engineering Change Notes (ECN) to maintain version accuracy
• Design and fabricate jigs and fixtures to support efficient and precise manufacturing operations
