Job summary

Milliken and Company in Singapore is seeking a Process Engineer to lead daily production activities, scale up new processes, and troubleshoot processing issues on site. You will work with technical researchers to translate customer needs into manufacturing specifications and support continuous improvement projects.

The role requires a chemical engineering degree, minimum 4 years of local production experience in the chemical process industry, and familiarity with PLCs and batch control systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in experience in local production in the chemical process industry or related areas.
• Ability to apply engineering and scientific principles to resolve problems and make improvements.
• Understanding of manufacturing environments, processes and procedures.
• Strong expertise in reactive chemistry and common unit operations in chemical processing.
• Ability to read, understand and modify PLC ladder logic (Allen Bradley Controls) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Scale up new processes and equipment to achieve product performance.
• Work with business unit managers, project teams, operators and customers to commercialize new products.
• Design of production equipment, design reviews and development of programming controls.
• Implement new equipment and applications that meet customer performance requirements.
• Troubleshoot processing issues related to new product startup and commercialized products.
• Support site’s Process Safety initiatives and compliance with HSE standards.
