NTS Components Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced NPI Engineer to define BOMs, process routes, and manufacturing instructions for new products. You will work closely with design and production teams to deliver robust processes.
Responsibilities include designing jigs for welding, executing ECN/ECR changes, managing NPI documentation, PFMEA, and coordinating with customers on DFMs and approvals.
Responsibilities:
Define Item, Bill of Material & Process routing for new products
Establish manufacturing processes and assembly work instructions based on the customer’s specification and provide training to technicians
Design Jigs and Fixtures to aid in the manufacturing process, especially on welding
Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes
Define process required, study and special process or tooling requirements
Follow up and evaluate processes on the production floor
Develop 3D model and generate 2D flat pattern based on Customer drawing
3D Assembly / Drawing development in Solid Edge (For assembly parts and structures)
Manage Engineering Change Request (ECR) process for NPI projects, for instance get approval from customers and DFM proposals
Implementation of ECN (Engineering Change Notifications) within the company and with manufacturing partners to account for all changes
Manage NPI project related customer documentation (drawings, specifications, test procedures, work instructions etc.)
Project Planning on Engineering Activities
Able to do technical documentation review, Creation of Process flow & PFMEA
Project analysis, Communication with Customers as an expertise
Requirements:
The candidate must possess at least Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent
At least 3-5 years of NPI Engineering in manufacturing experience
Knowledge in AutoCAD / Solid Edge and ERP preferred
Familiar with sheet metal process cutting, bending, welding, and painting processes
Knowledge & direct experience in electrical and mechanical manufacturing operations, new product introductions, product development and production
Able to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems during assembly
Good Communication, analytical and organizational skills
Independent worker who can work well with minimal supervision
