Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive NPI launches, perform DFM analysis, and design robust production processes. You will set up BOMs and routings in ERP/MES, coordinate tooling creation, and document SOPs/WIs for the floor.

The role requires 2+ years in process engineering, familiarity with IPC standards, and strong cross‑functional communication. You will train staff on new processes and contribute to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering required.
• 2+ years of process engineering experience preferred.
• IPC standards or Lean Six Sigma training preferred.
• Knowledge of PCBA and TLA manufacturing processes preferred.
• Familiarity with box build operations.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• NPI Execution: Execute product transfers and the launch of New Product Introductions (NPI) from customers.
• DFM: Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis on customer products to improve product manufacturability.
• Process Development: Design and establish product manufacturing processes.
• System Setup: Create and maintain BOM and production routings in the ERP/MES system.
• Tooling: Liaise with tooling vendors to design and fabricate tooling or fixtures.
• Documentation: Create and maintain SOPs and WIs for the production team.
• Training: Train production staff and operators on new manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure manufacturing processes comply with IPC standards and internal quality protocols.
• Process Monitoring: Monitor process yields and KPIs to ensure targets are met.
• Technical Problem Solving: Act as technical lead to resolve bottlenecks and complex issues.
• Line Balancing: Conduct time studies to optimize cycle time and labor efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement: Improve manufacturing process yields per KPIs.
• ECO/ECN: Implement engineering changes to customer products.
• Customer Presentations: Present product performance to customers.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with EHS guidelines.
• Mentorship: Support engineering staff through knowledge sharing.
• General Support: Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Manufacturing Engineer.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in process engineering is preferred.
• Certification or formal training in IPC standards or Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Knowledge of PCBA and TLA manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Familiarity with box build operations.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the tenacity to overcome operational constraints.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.
