Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Probe Automation Technician to support the Probe Automation team, maintaining automation capabilities and monitoring system health across shifts. You will respond to alarms, perform first-level troubleshooting, and help keep production flowing.

This is a rotation 12‑hour shift role requiring night/weekend coverage. You’ll work with shift manufacturing and equipment teams, escalate issues when needed, and contribute to internal improvement projects to enhance

Qualifications

• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Applied AI & Analytics, Mechatronics, or related discipline; or equivalent working experience.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Scripting or programming ability in Python or Perl; read and modify scripts in production safely.
• Basic SQL skills for data queries and issue investigation.
• Hands-on experience with Linux-based systems (Ubuntu, RHEL, AlmaLinux).
• Exposure to web technologies (HTML, CSS; Angular a plus).
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI for dashboards is an advantage.
• Interest in AI tools or ML techniques to assist troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health and performance of probe automation systems and dashboards.
• Respond to alarms and failures; perform first-level troubleshooting per SOPs.
• Escalate recurring issues with clear symptoms and steps taken.
• Log and update tickets for automation issues; ensure traceability.
• Support day-to-day production with shift teams to minimize downtime.
• Participate in internal improvement projects to reduce manual steps.
• Maintain and update automation SOPs, checklists, and guides; share knowledge.
