Job summary

Micron Technology in Singapore is seeking a Probe Process Technician to support 24/7 manufacturing operations on rotating 12-hour shifts. You will monitor probe process health, analyze production data, and ensure quality and yield improvements while collaborating with Process Engineers, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Higher NITEC in Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health and performance of Probe process and quality metrics across daily production operations.
• Respond to process deviations and perform first-level troubleshooting with escalation to Process Engineers.
• Collect and analyze production data to support fixes, qualifications, and continuous improvements.
• Implement process qualifications, evaluations, and production releases per SOPs and work instructions.
• Manage production holds, lot tracking, and material disposition with traceability and documentation.
• Support NPI, process transfers, and manufacturing readiness activities, including shift handovers with clear information.
• Participate in quality, yield, productivity, and cost improvement projects within the Probe Process team.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency and quality.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by testing and sharing AI-enabled enhancements.

Job description

As a Probe Process Technician at Micron Technology, you will be part of the Probe Process team, supporting the manufacturing processes that keep production running safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The team maintains process stability across probe operations, covering process monitoring, quality checks, lot tracking, and production readiness. You will provide day-to-day operational support across shifts, monitoring process and equipment performance, responding to process deviations, and delivering qualifications, evaluations, and production releases according to established procedures. You will work closely with Process Engineers, Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, and Quality teams to keep production compliant and flowing. Beyond daily support, you will take part in NPI, process transfers, and continuous improvement projects that raise yield, productivity, and cost performance for the team.

This role supports a 24/7 manufacturing operation and requires working rotating 12-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health and performance of Probe process and quality metrics across daily production operations.

• Respond to process deviations and quality excursions; perform first-level troubleshooting and bring up to Process Engineers when needed.

• Collect and analyze production data to support fixing, process qualifications, and continuous improvement activities.

• Implement process qualifications, evaluations, and production releases in accordance with established SOPs and work instructions.

• Manage production holds, lot tracking, and material disposition activities, ensuring traceability and accurate documentation.

• Support NPI, process transfers, and manufacturing readiness activities, including shift handovers with clear and complete information.

• Participate in quality, yield, productivity, and cost improvement projects within the Probe Process team, and maintain/update SOPs based on actual shift experience.

• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.

• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one's scope of work.

Requirements

• Diploma, Higher NITEC, or equivalent qualifications in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical subject area. Relevant industry experience will also be considered.

• Comfortable working a rotating 12-hour shift schedule to support continuous manufacturing operations.

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing is preferred. Exposure to Probe, Test, or other high-volume manufacturing environments will be an added advantage.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, follow established procedures, and call out concerns when appropriate.

• Ability to read, understand, and accurately follow user documentation, work instructions, and process specifications.

• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality, safety, and operational standards.

• Willingness to work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment and support operational requirements as needed.

• Basic data analysis skills using tools such as Excel, SQL, or Tableau will be an added advantage.

• Strong learning agility, teamwork, and a continuous improvement attitude, with a willingness to take ownership and contribute beyond day-to-day operational responsibilities.
