Job summary

EXCTEL ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior engineering leader to define and drive the AI strategy for our engineering business, ensuring solutions align with objectives and meet responsible AI standards.

You will pilot AI use cases in document generation, compliance review, and design calculations, measure impact, and work with IT and vendors to integrate tools into workflows. You will also own telecom packages from feasibility to detailed design.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI strategy and standards for responsible AI, including human review and data security.
• Identify, pilot, and measure AI use cases in engineering workflows.
• Own telecom engineering packages through feasibility to detailed design; approve architecture.
• Review drawings, calculations, and deliverables; ensure compliance with quality and HSE.
• Oversee system integration, FAT/SAT/commissioning; define testing and handover standards.
• Lead senior telecom engineers and act as primary technical contact with customers and vendors.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on planning, delivery, and design changes.

Job description

Define and lead the AI strategy for engineering, aligned with business objectives, and set standards for responsible AI use, including human review, data security, and client confidentiality.

Identify and pilot AI use cases, such as automated document generation, compliance review, and design calculations, and measure their impact.

Work with IT and vendors to integrate AI tools into engineering workflows, and train engineers to use them effectively.

Take technical ownership of telecom engineering packages through feasibility, concept, FEED, and detailed design, and approve system architecture and key design decisions.

Interpret customer and authority requirements, clarify design certification with third parties, and review drawings, calculations, and deliverables.

Oversee system integration, FAT, SAT, and commissioning, define testing and handover standards, and resolve complex technical issues.

Lead and mentor telecom and junior engineers, and build team capability.

Act as the senior technical contact for customers, EPC contractors, and vendors, and lead technical solutions for major proposals.

Work with Project Managers on planning, delivery, and design changes, ensure compliance with quality and HSE standards, and report to management.
