StarHub in Singapore is seeking an early-career Engineer to support network design, planning and implementation, applying AI/ML to forecast demand and automate decisions across the network lifecycle. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 0–3 years of experience in network engineering, network planning, or a related field (internships and academic projects considered).
  • Foundational understanding of network design principles, including capacity planning and dimensioning.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals and how they can be applied to network planning or forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages for data analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Pandas).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and planning of network infrastructure, including capacity planning, dimensioning, and technology evaluation.
  • Assist in the implementation and rollout of network solutions, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs are deployed as planned.
  • Perform traffic forecasting and demand modelling to inform network planning decisions.
  • Apply AI/ML techniques (e.g., predictive traffic modelling, anomaly detection, automated capacity planning) to improve the accuracy and efficiency of network planning and design.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to support AI‑driven forecasting and network analytics.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify network performance trends and planning opportunities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, planning reports, and design proposals.
  • Support troubleshooting and optimization of network designs during implementation.
  • Stay current with emerging network technologies and AI/ML trends, and propose relevant applications.
