Job summary

WSP Consultancy Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead ACMV/HVAC and building services design for diverse projects. You will supervise a team, manage design development, coordinate authority submissions, and ensure project milestones are met.

The ideal candidate holds a recognised Mechanical Engineering degree with PEB Singapore, has 7+ years in design engineering for ACMV, fire protection and plumbing, and brings BIM/CAD skills (REVIT, AutoCAD, Microstation)

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in mechanical engineering with PEB Singapore.
• 7+ years in ACMV/HVAC, fire protection and plumbing design for engineering consultancies in Singapore.
• Proven track record working across organisations to define requirements and deliver programs.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore Code of Practice and authority submission processes (LTA, PUB, BCA, SCDF, SPPG, TFCC).
• BIM/CAD capabilities (REVIT, AutoCAD, Microstation) is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical engineering design for ACMV, fire protection, sanitary and plumbing.
• Supervise and coach a team of engineers through the project lifecycle from concept to completion.
• Act as Project Manager or Team Leader on projects.
• Mentor new employees and provide technical assistance to engineers.
• Advise engineers on project administration and contractual issues.
• Engage in technical discussions to resolve design problems with engineers.

Job description

Reports to: Division Head, Property & Buildings/Transport & Infrastructure

Responsibilities:

• Support and provide mechanical engineering design
• Handle design works and/or project management relevant to ACMV, Fire Protection, Sanitary and Plumbing.
• Supervise and coach a team of engineers in mechanical services for the project from concept stage, design development, contract documentation, authority submissions, site administration to project completion
• Act as either Project Manager or Team Leader in projects.
• Act as mentor to new employees.
• Provide technical assistance to engineers.
• Advise engineers on the project administration and contractual issues.
• Conduct technical discussion on common design problems with engineers

Requirements:

• Recognised Degree in Mechanical Engineering with PEB Singapore
• Candidate must have min 7 years of relevant working experience in design engineering of ACMV / HVAC, Fire Protection and Plumbing services with Engineering Consultancies in Singapore
• Proven track record of working across organization boundaries to define requirements, solve complex problems and drive programs to successful completion
• Good understanding of Singapore Code of Practice and local authority submission process (e.g LTA, PUB, BCA, SCDF, SPPG, TFCC, etc)
• BIM and CAD capabilities (REVIT / Microstation / Autocad) will be added advantage
