Job summary

Unknown is seeking a design lead to head a Singapore-based electrical team, overseeing concept-to-handover on power distribution, standby generation, lighting and security systems.

You will manage engineers and coordinate with MEP and design teams to ensure successful project outcomes across data centres, hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

• PEB Singapore registration or Chartered Engineer (CEng) is required.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• 8+ years in an engineering design consultancy.
• Experience leading teams and managing projects.
• Confident with clients and with electrical design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on buildings from concept to handover (power distribution, standby generation, lighting, security).
• Run and grow a team of engineers and technicians.
• Be the primary electrical lead clients engage with and bring in repeat work.
• Collaborate with mechanical, structural and architectural teams on projects.
• Manage multiple large projects and keep them profitable.

An international engineering design consultancy is growing its electrical team in Singapore. They need a design lead who can run a team, sign off good work,and be the person clients ask for by name.

The firm is winning more data centre and hospital work in Singapore and the region. The electrical team is growing at every level, and this role sits at the centre of it.

What you’ll do

• Lead the electrical design on building projects from concept to handover: power distribution, standby generation, lighting, and security systems
• Run a team of engineers and technicians, and grow the junior ones
• Be the electrical lead clients deal with, and bring in repeat work
• Work closely with mechanical, structural and architectural teams on the same projects
• Juggle several large projects at once and keep them profitable

What you bring

• Professional Engineer Electrical) registered with PEB Singapore, or a Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• 8 or more years at an engineering design consultancy
• Team management , leadership
• Confident with clients and with electrical design software
