Job summary

Surbana Jurong Group in Singapore is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to lead the planning, design and construction management of C&S services for a range of developments, including upgrading existing buildings.

The role requires a recognised civil/structural degree, PE registration, and at least 10 years of high-rise design experience in Singapore, with responsibilities spanning coordination with authorities, clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by the PE Board in Singapore.
• 10+ years of design experience in high-rise building construction and civil/structural work in Singapore.
• Registration with the Singapore PE Board.
• Familiar with local Building Codes, Regulations and Eurocode.
• Experience with post-tension and precast design and submission procedures.
• Familiar with site supervision, QA procedures and construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and manage C&S services for townships, residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and infrastructural developments, including upgrading of existing buildings and services.
• Act as Qualified Person for projects requiring collaboration with authorities and design teams, ensuring quality delivery to clients.
• Manage project stakeholders, clients, design team, site team and other parties.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for the planning, design and construction management of C&S services for townships, residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and infrastructural developments,including the upgrading of existing buildings and services.
• You will be assigned as the Qualified Person for projects which requires collaboration with authorities, peers from other disciplines in design and feasibility studies, as well as ensuring excellent delivery of service to clients.
• Manage project stakeholders, clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties

Requirements

• Good honours degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
• At least 10 years of design experience in high-rise building construction and civil & structural engineering work in Singapore. Experience with HDB high-rise development is an advantage.
• Registration with Singapore PE Board.
• Familiar with structural engineering design to local Building Codes, Regulations and requirements, and Eurocode
• Conversant with submissions to the local authorities for approval
• Experience in post-tension design/precast design and familiarity with engineering software and submission procedures to regulatory authorities
• Conversant with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedure and construction administration
