Job summary

WOLA RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking Kitchen Assistants to support daily kitchen operations at Far East Square. You will assist with ingredient preparation, mise en place, food handling, cleaning and other kitchen duties in a busy Chinese kitchen environment.

The role requires reliable, hardworking individuals with basic knife skills and a willingness to learn; weekend and public holiday rosters apply. Join a dynamic F&B team in a vibrant dining and entertainment setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant kitchen or F&B experience preferred.
• Experience in a Chinese restaurant kitchen is an advantage.
• Basic food-preparation and knife skills preferred.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good personal hygiene and food-safety awareness.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Able to work effectively as part of a kitchen team.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays according to roster.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with washing, cutting, portioning and preparing ingredients.
• Prepare vegetables, meat, seafood and other ingredients according to kitchen requirements.
• Carry out mise en place before service.
• Replenish ingredients and supplies during service.
• Assist chefs with basic cooking and plating when required.
• Receive and store ingredients according to food-safety procedures.
• Maintain proper stock rotation and ingredient freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Support opening and closing kitchen duties.
• Follow food-safety, hygiene and kitchen operating procedures.
• Assist other kitchen sections during busy periods when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
