Job summary

WOLA Recruitment Pte. Ltd. Singapore flagship outlet of an established international Chinese lifestyle dining brand is seeking an experienced wok chef to join a dynamic kitchen at Far East Square, near Telok Ayer MRT.

The role offers a fast-paced environment with structured shifts and reliance on teamwork. You will prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes, maintain quality and portions, and work with the Head Chef to keep daily operations smooth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a Chinese restaurant or similar kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques and wok handling.
• Valid WSQ Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Familiar with food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes using traditional wok cooking techniques.
• Perform stir-frying, steaming, braising, deep-frying, and sauce preparation.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, presentation, and portion control.
• Prepare ingredients and maintain an organised workstation.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist in stock rotation, inventory control, and reducing food wastage.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
