Job summary

Leica Microsystems, a Danaher operating company, is seeking an Optics Specialist (Lens polishing) to join the on-site Singapore team. You will perform production, inspection, and machine setup to meet daily targets, while ensuring quality and safety standards.

The role reports to the Production Supervisor within the Optics Production team. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in production/manufacturing, experience with polishing machines, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or technical training in a relevant engineering or manufacturing discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with exposure to operate machines such as polishing machines to produce precision components.
• Ability to work accurately in a structured environment, communicate effectively in English, and demonstrate adaptability and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform production, inspection, machine setup, and troubleshooting activities to meet daily production targets and quality requirements.
• Operate machines and equipment supporting optics production, including handling cobot stations where required, and update process data for monitoring and improvement.
• Support continuous improvement by maintaining good housekeeping standards and contributing ideas to enhance workmanship, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
