Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Singapore Pte. Ltd. seeks an experienced Senior Polisher to perform pre-polishing and final polishing of optical blocks, ensuring surface finish and dimensional accuracy per specifications.

You will operate polishing machines, monitor process performance, and coordinate with Process Engineering on new products. A Diploma in Engineering and 10+ years of experience are required, with rotating 12-hour shifts and overtime possible.

Qualifications

Diploma in Engineering or equivalent is required.
Minimum 10 years of experience in optical manufacturing, lapping, polishing, or precision surface processing.
Experience handling precision optical components at Pre-Polishing and Final Polishing is required.

Responsibilities

Perform Pre-Polishing and Final Polishing for optical blocks according to process specifications and work instructions.
Ensure product quality, surface finish, and dimensional requirements meet customer specifications.
Set up, operate, and maintain polishing machines, tools, and consumables.
Monitor process performance and troubleshoot quality or process issues.
Support yield improvement, scrap reduction, and continuous improvement activities.
Coordinate with Process Engineering on new products, qualifications, and process enhancements.
Train and mentor technicians and operators on polishing techniques and best practices.
Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
