Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in optical component assembly and test
• Experience with enterprise management or stock control software is preferred
• Training and practical experience of quality processes such as ISO 9001 and 5S is desirable
• Diploma / Higher Nitec in Optical Engineering/ Laser Technology / Mechatronics or Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Assemble optical and laser systems according to designs and work instructions.
• Perform tests on optical systems and generate meaningful test data for production and engineering use.
• Contribute to test reports.
• Observe best practices in optical assembly, safety and quality control procedures.
• Adhere to laser safety practices and help maintain a safe working environment.

Job description

EOS Innovation Singapore is seeking experienced optics and laser technicians to support the development, test and manufacture of advanced defence products. These hands‑on roles sit within a growing project team and work closely with mechanical, electronic, electrical and production engineering disciplines. The work involves rigorous process development and execution to deliver high‑quality prototype and production outcomes in high‑power optics. This position suits technicians who show good discipline, work well in teams and are motivated by optical test, assembly and integration work.

Primary Duties

This hands‑on role supports optical and laser development and production at EOS Innovation Singapore. The technician will construct, align, calibrate and control optical systems in laboratory and factory settings, working from engineering designs, procedures and instructions. Successful candidates will follow established processes carefully, apply practical skill and provide reliable results and useful feedback to the engineering team. As the final assembler of complex systems, the Optics and Laser Technician will also work closely with Quality Assurance to help maintain EOS Innovation Singapore’s commitment to high‑quality products.

Education and Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in optical component assembly and test, or in a closely related field.
