Job summary

SEMICAPS RESEARCH LABS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a hands-on engineer to build, align and test optical modules for failure analysis systems in a climate-controlled production area.

You will work from drawings and SOPs, assemble optical sub-assemblies, perform alignment, document results and support material handling while maintaining 5S/ESD standards. The role requires 1–3 years of optical assembly experience, reading BOMs, and basic English; willingness to work with class IV lasers under

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Precision Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Opto-electronics.
• 1–3 years of assembly experience with optical components or instruments.
• Able to handle small parts with hand tools and microscopes.
• Able to read assembly drawings, BOMs and work instructions.
• Good eyesight with color vision; steady hands and attention to detail.
• Basic English for reading instructions and recording results.
• Willing to work with class IV lasers with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assemble optical sub-assemblies and modules per drawings and SOPs.
• Handle, clean and inspect optical components.
• Perform optical alignment and check image quality.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical assembly of machine subsystems.
• Run in-process checks and final functional tests; document results.
• Identify defective parts and report to Supervisor.
• Maintain 5S and ESD in production area.
• Support kitting, material handling and stock counts.
