Cluster Description
Workforce Development (WD) leads overall workforce development strategies and interventions for the Public Service. We believe that people are at the heart of our organisation and strive to build an agile, skilled, and future-ready Public Service workforce.
Project Overview
Support Workforce Development's strategic initiatives including One Talent Gateway (OTG), the government's talent marketplace, and review of the whole-of-government (WOG) Competency Bank that transform learning and development across the Public Service.
By the end of your internship, you will have:
- Obtained a deeper understanding of the career development landscape within the Public Service
- Gain hands‑on experience in engaging ministry and agency‑level stakeholders.
- Learn about competency management and profiling to support career development initiatives and capability development of public officers.
What You Will Be Working On
Job Scope
- Support agency‑level engagement sessions such as roadshows, town halls, etc.
- Review and refine the competency bank and career development initiatives by working with partners (e.g. Functional Leads, Data Office and GovTech) to support competency‑driven growth across the Public Service.
- Conduct data analysis for leadership reporting purposes.
- Beyond this pilot project, you may also be included in other workstreams where you can gain insights about a Centre of Government perspective of the Public Service workforce, should you be interested.
