Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer to support on-premises and hybrid infrastructure that underpins mission-critical systems. The role focuses on platform reliability, operational stability, and continuous infrastructure improvement within government or regulated environments.

You will collaborate with internal teams and L1 vendors to manage day-to-day operations, incidents, and technical recommendations, ensuring governance and security requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in platform/infrastructure operations in production environments.
• Knowledge of virtualisation, OS, storage and networking.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of on-premises and hybrid infrastructure.
• Lead incident management and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate vendor and internal teams for maintenance and service requests.
• Support governance, security, and change management activities.
• Drive infrastructure modernisation and technology refresh programmes.
