Job summary
PERSOL Tech Services Pte Ltd is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer to ensure reliability and stability of client and internal systems infrastructure. The role involves investigation, problem resolution, and proactive improvements with a strong emphasis on customer service.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Linux/Windows, virtualization, hardware platforms (HP/Dell/Lenovo), various hypervisors, storage solutions, scripting (Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl), and ITIL-based
Qualifications
- Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.
- 4–8 years of experience in an operational environment.
- Experience with Linux and Windows RHCE certified or equivalent.
- Experience with monitoring systems to configuration level (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Experience with bare metal servers in service provider environments or large NOC.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to ensure infrastructure services meet KPIs and SLAs.
- Ensure stability and reliability of all system services.
- Perform first-level problem determination/triage before escalation.
- Deliver high level of service to customers.
- Interface with vendors, market participants, and financial exchanges.
- Maximize infrastructure availability through proactive improvements.
- Create technical documentation and diagrams.
- Perform preventative maintenance and on-call support as required.
- Use scripting/automation for deployment and maintenance.
