Job summary
A*STAR SIMTech invites applications for a Senior Principal Research Engineer (Tech Biz) to lead sector growth in Singapore. You will bridge industry needs with SIMTech capabilities, shaping strategic partnerships and driving demand across key sectors.
As Pillar Head, you will foster MNC-SME collaboration, establish joint labs and licensing pathways, and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver sector initiatives with impact for the manufacturing ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, Technology, or related discipline.
- Advanced degree (Master's/MBA) preferred.
- 10–15+ years in industry, technology commercialisation, business development, or sector leadership.
- Strong network within relevant industry sectors.
- Proven track record in strategic partnership development and revenue generation.
- Experience working with MNCs, SMEs, government agencies, and innovation ecosystems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sector growth strategies and roadmaps.
- Engage with MNCs, SMEs, and government agencies to build partnerships.
- Drive MNC-SME supplier development and ecosystem collaboration.
- Translate SIMTech technologies into commercially relevant solutions.
- Lead sector business development teams and mentor staff.
