Job summary

SIMTech, a research institute under A*STAR in Singapore, is seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager to join the Tech-Biz Development Office (IDO). The role focuses on engineering and business development with responsibilities spanning industry engagement, events, and tech transfer initiatives.

The successful candidate will handle marketing communications, industry training, and all related business and legal documentation in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Science required.
• 2+ years of engineering or business development experience preferred.
• Manufacturing exposure desirable.
• Strong customer relationships and management skills.
• Willing to take on duties beyond the job description.

Responsibilities

• Engage companies to understand industry needs and technology requirements.
• Organize industry sharing events such as seminars, roundtables and workshops.
• Formulate industry engagement plans to establish collaborations and tech transfers.
• Collaborate with Marcomm to develop marketing collaterals and newsletters.
• Formulate and initiate training courses for the industry.
• Manage business and legal documentation for projects with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain relationships with industry partners and oversee ongoing project activities.
