Job summary

Mount Alvernia Hospital in Singapore is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventories and related duties in the hospital pharmacy.

The role requires a recognised Pharmacy Technician certificate or Diploma, hospital experience preferred, ability to work shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays; a proactive team player is valued.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Course recognised by SPC or equivalent.
• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences or foreign degree recognised by SPC.
• Preferably 2 years of clinical hospital experience.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
• Handle inventory management and related pharmacy activities.
• Support pharmacy operations and patient care within the hospital.

Who We Need

The Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications to patients, inventory management and other Pharmacy related activities.

How to Succeed

• Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Course (Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore), Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences or foreign university degree recognised by the Singapore Pharmacy Council (SPC).
• Preferably at least 2 years of clinical working experience in an acute hospital setting.
• A good team player with strong sense of initiative and commitment in building a culture of performance and engagement.
• Able to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays. (42 hours work week)
• Night shift timing: 7.30pm to 8.15am (12hrs)
• Pharmacy Assistant's duty excludes dispensing.
