SBS Transit Limited in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to assist the Functional Lead in the maintenance of Permanent Way and Civil Structures systems for NEL, SPLRT and DTL, ensuring safety, reliability and regulator-aligned standards. You will support the safety, quality and regulatory requirements across multiple lines and structures.
You will lead maintenance teams in planning/scheduling tasks, manage administration and documentation, and drive continuous improvement.
Assists the Functional Lead in managing the maintenance of the Permanent Way or Civil Structures systems in NEL, SPLRT, and DTL so as to ensure the safety, reliability and availability, while meeting the standards agreed with the Operating Department and Regulator
Assist Functional Lead to oversee the Pway or Civil Structures systems maintenance of NEL, SPLRT and DTL
Lead the maintenance teams in the planning and scheduling of the maintenance tasks
Manage the administrative matters of the maintenance teams
Ensure all maintenance activities, inclusive of documentation, are completed, and are in accordance with applicable quality standards.
Identifies any job hazard and implement control measures
Identifies staff’s training needs and implement training schemes
Participates and contributes to the Department’s decision-making process on promotion, rewards and disciplinary actions
Explore innovations to improve work processes
Ensures strict compliance and adherence to the safety rules and regulations
Managing and working with external contractors when applicable
Leading and preparing the maintenance teams for internal and external audits
Any other work assigned by the Functional Lead or HODs
Ensuring inspection teams comply with all safety requirements stated in the Company Safety Management System
Investigate and address safety incidents or issues that have occurred during the course of work, and close them accordingly

Recognised Bachelor Degree in Engineering, or
Recognised Diploma in Engineering with 5 years working experience in similar engineering filed
Preferably at least 3 years of post-graduate working experience with 2 years of relevant working experience in railway environment.
Good knowledge in engineering principles, preferably in mechanical or civil engineering
Conversant in Microsoft Office
Good interpersonal, management and communication skills.
Demonstrate strong leadership quality and be capable of motivating teammates.
Required to be put on 24 hours standby for any unforeseen emergency recall
Prepared to work during engineering hours which is after midnight
