Primary Objectives of Position
- Build and implement Systems Engineering capabilities to support Reliability in Railway Engineering.
- Consolidated OE capabilities to undertake Asset Reliability Trending and Analysis, Asset Modifications, Maintenance Process Improvements, Configuration Management, facilitate the development of CdM and PdM capabilities.
- Support development of policies to achieve the Reliability and Maintainability.
Major Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with Line Engineering Departments for Reliability Trending & Analysis to identify improvement and enhancement of Railway System.
- Lead to identify Technical Analysis on Asset Modification of Railway System.
- Support Line Engineering Departments on Maintenance Process Improvement for productivity enhancement of Railway System.
- Support Line Engineering Departments on Maintenance Schedule Review for any risk identification of Railway System.
- Support Line Engineering Departments in Significant Railway Defects Investigations.
- Support MEC Section in implementing CdM and PdM of Railway System.
- Any other tasks as assigned by superior(s)
Specific Safety Responsibilities
- To comply with SBST's Safety, Health and Security Policies
- Ensure all projects, research, etc. are performed in accordance with applicable rules and procedures
- Responsible for the ensuring of the implementation Safety within the department.

Job Specifications
Minimum Education / Qualifications
- Degrees or post-graduate qualifications in Science or Engineering
- Member of IE Singapore or/and other professional institutions.
- Chartered Engineering in Transportation (Railway) is preferred.
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
- 3 years of relevant Railway Engineering Experience
- At least 3 years of leadership and managing skill is an advantage.
Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge in computer hardware or/and software applications.
- Strong problem solving skills
- Up to date on latest technologies
- Keen interest in research and experimentation
