Job summary

SINGAPORE ONE RAIL PTE. LTD. is seeking personnel for on-site roles in Singapore to support track maintenance, training, and operation tasks across Permanent Way and Civil Structure sections.

The role involves hands-on duties with track equipment, shifting schedules, and coordination of resources to maintain service reliability. Typical duties include assisting in training, track access, rail replacement, and fault rectification to minimise disruption.

Qualifications

• Recognised diploma in Engineering / Higher Nitec or Nitec with 3 years relevant railway experience.
• Good communication skills and ability to prepare paperwork.
• Ability to draft and craft work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of training materials and learner guides for the Permanent Way and Civil Structure department.
• Support the training and competency certification for new staff.
• Support Shunting and Driving of Engineer's Train/Train/Locomotives/Vehicles/Wagons.
• Support Preparation works for train consists, equipment, spares etc to meet the maintenance needs of night shift work.
• Assist in booking, coordinating, planning and processing of Track Access Request.
• Support Rail replacement operation for track & 3rd Rail system to ensure that the permanent way is maintained to the standards agreed with the Operating Department.
• Support railway maintenance works on 3rd Rail system, Buffer Stop and Insulated Rail Joint.
• Support grinding works using manual grinding tools and Rail Grinding Vehicle.
• Respond to any fault relating to track, viaduct, 3rd rail system reported by OCC/Engineer to rectify and prevent/minimise any service disruption.
• Troubleshoot and arranging for defective equipment and tools to be rectified.
• Assist in the maintenance, data collection and analysis of track measuring system
• Support other section work in the department as requested by Supervisor.
• Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
