Job summary

SBS Transit Limited invites applications for a maintenance technician role focused on tunnels, permanent way and 3rd Rail in the Downtown Line System. The incumbent will assist in Track Access coordination, inspections and data analysis to ensure safety and reliability meet the required standards.

Minimum ITE qualification with at least 2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are welcome. Good communication and computer literacy are essential; a valid Class 3 license is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in booking, coordinating, planning and processing of Track Access Request.
• Participate in Track Inspection, Measurement, Data Analysis and Response for track and 3rd Rail.
• Inspect and report defects related to building, tunnels and other systems during railway inspection.
• Troubleshoot and arrange for defective measurement tools and equipment to be rectified.
• Manage logistics and administrative matters of the team of technicians.
• Manage the Pway stores in DTL mainline and depot.
• Ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Support other section work as requested by Supervisor.
• Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Primary Objectives of Position

• Participate in the maintenance works of tunnels, permanent way & 3rd Rail in the Downtown Line System to ensure that the safety, reliability and availability of the systems meet the standards agreed with the Operating Department.

Major Responsibilities

• Assist in booking, coordinating, planning and processing of Track Access Request.

• Participate in the Track Inspection, Measurement, Data Analysis and Response for track and 3rd Rail system to ensure that the permanent way is maintained to the standards agreed with the Operating Department.

• Assist to inspect and report all defects related to building, tunnels and other systems during railway inspection.

• Manage logistics and administrative matters of your team of technicians.

• Manage the Pway stores in DTL mainline and depot.
