ORCHID ENTERTAINMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Performing Arts Manager to direct artistic operations, programme planning, and production execution for high-quality live entertainment.

You will oversee rehearsals, budgets, venue logistics, and coordinating cross-functional teams across cast and crew. You will lead recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of performers and staff, ensure safety compliance, and manage collaborations with artistic directors and venue operators.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Arts Management, Theatre Production, Performing Arts, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in arts management, live theatre/venue operations, or entertainment administration.
  • Demonstrated ability in programme curation, production scheduling, and budget oversight.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and cross-functional communication across artistic and technical teams.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, aligned with performance schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, curate, and implement performance programmes, seasonal schedules, and artistic concepts.
  • Plan and oversee end-to-end production timelines from initial concept and rehearsals through to live execution.
  • Supervise artistic output and performance quality to ensure presentations maintain high entertainment standards.
  • Coordinate rehearsal schedules, venue bookings, stage availability, and technical load-ins.
  • Liaise directly with artistic directors, technical crews, venue operators, and front-of-house teams.
  • Manage stage contingencies and operational troubleshooting during live performances.
  • Lead the recruitment, auditioning, onboarding, and scheduling of performers, guest artistes, and production crew.
  • Conduct regular pre-show briefings, monitor cast attendance and punctuality, and deliver constructive performance appraisals.
  • Manage performer welfare, contractual deliverables, and conflict resolution across artistic and technical teams.
  • Formulate, allocate, and track production budgets, ensuring cost control across talent fees, staging, venue rental, and equipment.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with external vendors, artistes, talent agencies, and service providers.
  • Prepare operational logs, performance assessments, and financial reports for executive management.

Role Overview

The Performing Arts Manager directs artistic operations, show programming, and production execution. This role oversees rehearsal schedules, production budgets, venue logistics, and cross-functional teams across cast and crew to deliver high-quality live entertainment that aligns with organizational standards and venue safety guidelines.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Artistic Planning & Programme Management
  • Develop, curate, and implement performance programmes, seasonal schedules, and artistic concepts.
  • Plan and oversee end-to-end production timelines from initial concept and rehearsals through to live execution.
  • Supervise artistic output and performance quality to ensure presentations maintain high entertainment standards.
Logistics, Venue & Production Coordination
  • Coordinate rehearsal schedules, venue bookings, stage availability, and technical load-ins.
  • Liaise directly with artistic directors, technical crews (lighting, audio-visual, sound), venue operators, and front-of-house teams.
  • Manage stage contingencies and operational troubleshooting during live performances.
  • Ensure all production and stage activities comply with workplace safety and venue health regulations.
Talent & Staff Supervision
  • Lead the recruitment, auditioning, onboarding, and scheduling of performers, guest artistes, and production crew.
  • Conduct regular pre-show briefings, monitor cast attendance and punctuality, and deliver constructive performance appraisals.

Requirements
