Job summary

SS ENTERTAINMENT PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Artistic Director to lead the creative vision, programming, and artistic integrity of its productions and live performances.

You will guide choreographers, musical directors, and designers, ensuring shows align with brand identity and audience engagement goals. Responsibilities include shaping seasonal programming, recruiting and casting talent, and coordinating with arts managers, producers, and marketing to meet budgetary and scheduling

Role Overview

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Artistic Director to lead the creative vision, programming, and artistic integrity of our productions and live performances. This role oversees the conception and execution of performance seasons, guides creative teams—including choreographers, musical directors, and designers—and ensures all shows align with organizational brand identity and audience engagement objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, articulate, and execute the overall artistic vision, repertoire, and seasonal programming for live productions and events.

• Lead the selection, commissioning, and development of new creative works, concepts, musical sets, and stage scripts.

• Direct the recruitment, auditioning, and casting of key creative talent, performers, choreographers, and guest artists.

• Guide multidisciplinary creative teams (scenography, lighting, costume, audio, and choreography) to ensure cohesive stage aesthetics and narrative depth.

• Collaborate closely with arts managers, producers, and marketing teams to ensure creative initiatives meet commercial, scheduling, and budgetary benchmarks.

• Serve as the public face and artistic voice of the company, engaging with media, patrons, cultural partners, and stakeholders.

• Evaluate audience reception and artistic benchmarks to continually refine show quality and maintain artistic excellence.

Requirements

• Proven track record in artistic leadership, stage direction, or curating successful live entertainment, theater, or dance productions.

• Strong artistic vision with a demonstrated portfolio of conceptualizing and staging high-caliber commercial or cultural performances.

• Deep knowledge of performing arts disciplines, stagecraft, technical production, and emerging entertainment trends.

• Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring diverse artistic teams, performers, and technical crews.

• Solid grasp of production budgeting, resource allocation, and practical event production constraints.

• Ability to work dynamic schedules, including production weeks, evening performances, weekends, and public holidays.
