People & Training Lead — Gym Operations

Job summary

CLIMB CENTRAL PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated staff development lead to manage recruitment, training, and rostering for our gym teams across Singapore, ensuring operational excellence and safety on the floor.

You will interview candidates, design training, monitor performance, plan upgrading for promotions, coordinate safety courses, and manage rostering and shifts to maintain service quality and a positive staff experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews to assess suitability of gym staff and internship applicants for climbing gym roles
• Design and deliver training programs to prepare gym staff for effective performance and safety compliance
• Monitor staff performance and provide counseling or retraining to improve effectiveness and service quality
• Plan and conduct upgrading training for staff identified for promotion to higher responsibilities
• Organize, track, and follow up on safety training such as First Aid, including refresher courses and recertification
• Manage withholding and release of course fees in coordination with Payroll based on bond service completion
• Identify training needs through regular review and recommend appropriate skill and knowledge development programs
• Periodically review on-the-job training (OJT) and probation checklists to ensure staff readiness and compliance
• Update and maintain training manuals to reflect current operational standards and procedures
• Schedule shortlisted applicants for training, OJT, and probationary shifts to ensure smooth onboarding
• Develop and manage staff rostering to maintain optimal manpower for gym operations
• Respond promptly to shift changes or absences to maintain service continuity
• Support employee engagement initiatives to enhance staff retention and satisfaction throughout the employee lifecycle
• Calculate and manage staff eligibility for monthly gym passes and credit family access and multi-passes accordingly
• Serve as Floor Crew or Duty Officer up to twice weekly, including opening, closing, weekends, and public holidays
• Engage with customers and staff on the floor to gather feedback and improve customer service and staff rostering
