Job summary

Climb Central is seeking a Gym Crew member to support daily operations, greet customers, explain memberships, and handle sales transactions at four Singapore locations. You will guide first-time climbers, ensure safety, and maintain cleanliness across the gym floor.

The role requires climbing experience, Mandarin fluency, and a commitment of 3–4 years. Training includes safety briefings and on-the-job sessions; successful candidates may progress to leadership roles as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Climbing experience to guide and ensure safety.
• Diploma in sports or coaching or equivalent preferred.
• Fluency in Mandarin to communicate with a diverse customer base.
• Commitment to 3–4 years of service.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the service counter to establish membership types and sell gym passes.
• Offer climbing gear such as harnesses and shoes, ensuring proper fit and safety.
• Brief parents on adult supervision requirements for children aged 4+ during sessions.
• Operate the POS system to record check-ins, check-outs and sales.
• Conduct safety briefings for first-time climbers to cover gym rules and safe climbing practices.
• Perform regular safety rounds to monitor climber safety and gym conditions.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the gym floor, locker rooms, rope racks, and crew areas.
• Work shifts at one of four locations: Kallang Wave Mall, Funan, Novena Square, or Choa Chu Kang SAFRA; shifts are 6 paid hours plus 15 min unpaid break.

Climb Central is a sport climbing facility with four locations in Singapore. Since 2014, it offers a beginner-friendly, safe space for climbing, socializing, and fun, welcoming customers with no prior climbing experience.

Job Summary

The Climbing Gym Crew supports daily gym operations by assisting customers, conducting safety briefings, maintaining cleanliness, and managing sales transactions to ensure a safe and enjoyable climbing experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the service counter to establish membership types and sell gym passes
• Offer climbing gear such as harnesses and shoes, ensuring proper fit and safety
• Brief parents on the requirement for adult accompaniment of children aged 4 and above during climbing sessions
• Operate the POS system to accurately record customer check-ins, check-outs, and sales transactions
• Conduct safety briefings for all first-time climbers to ensure understanding of gym rules and safe climbing practices
• Perform regular safety rounds during shifts to monitor climber safety and gym conditions
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the gym floor, locker rooms, shoe racks, and crew rest areas, including vacuuming and tidying climbing ropes before closing
• Work assigned shifts at one of four gym locations: Kallang Wave Mall, Funan, Novena Square, or Choa Chu Kang SAFRA, with shifts lasting 6 paid hours plus a 15-minute unpaid break

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Climbing experience to support customer guidance and safety
• Diploma in sports or coaching to enhance customer service and training capabilities
• Fluency in Mandarin to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base
• Commitment to a minimum of 3 to 4 years of service
